I'm Scott Thomas — a pastor, a pianist, and I'm autistic. My two boys, now 22 and 17, are autistic too.
When they were little, I used to read them Frog & Toad. Those stories were magic for us — two characters with completely different personalities who somehow made the world work together. My boys heard themselves in those pages.
So I created Turtle & Tortoise — characters built from the real personalities of my two sons. My wife Tessa works with autistic children every day as a special education teacher. Together, we know what it means to love a child who sees the world a little differently.
These songs and stories are for those families. For grandparents who want something to read aloud. For parents who are tired of noise and want something that feels like a Sunday afternoon. For every child who needs a friend who gets it.
